Selena Y Los Dinos would be popular in the west states during the 1980s. Selena was named Female Vocalist and Performer during the Tejano Music Awards in 1986. From then on, Selena Y Los Dinos were among the top winners each year and earned notoriety and fame. There were many Spanish television shows that were based in Spanish, such as El Show De Johnny Canales every day in Domingo (Saturday night Gigante) and El Show De Johnny Canales always on Sundays were featured.
