Dana Elaine Owens - better than the general public by the name of Queen Latifah is an American performer, actress and a singer. The work of Queen Latifah in television, film as well as music has earned her several accolades. This includes a Golden Globe Award two Screen Actors Guild Awards Two Image Awards A Grammy Award Six additional Grammy nominations, an Emmy Award Nomination and an Academy Award. Queen Latifah's parents are Lancelot as well as Rita Owens, both police officers. Rita was a Newark New Jersey teacher who was a teacher in Irvington High School. Dante Ross of Tommy Boy Music has signed Latifah upon hearing the track. Her first single, Wrath of My Madness, in 1988.
